In the second match of the Cricplex Kalinga Cup, the Madan Lal Cricket Academy defeated the Chetan Chauhan Academy by 44 runs at the Cricplex Cricket Academy in Noida. Lokesh Yadav scored an impressive 70 runs off 60 balls while Akhil Chaudhary took four wickets.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Madan Lal Cricket Academy got off to a disappointing start as both their openers, Ram Pandey and Anish Raut got out very soon without contributing much with the bat. The pair of Ahteshyam and Lokesh Yadav then resurrected the innings after the fall of early wickets. Ahteshyam scored 43 runs off 33 balls that included 6 fours and 2 sixes before getting dismissed by Kanish Dalal.

Lokesh Yadav smashes a vital half-century

The Chetan Chauhan Academy’s bowlers continued to pick up wickets on regular basis and thus, kept the opposition batsmen under the check. However, Lokesh Yadav played an excellent innings of 70 runs off 60 balls that consisted of 8 fours and 3 sixes while Mohd. In the second innings, the Chetan Chauhan Academy never really got things going as they lost key wickets at the top. The duo comprising of Kanish Dalal and Jai Singh did compose a crucial partnership to help their team flourish in the middle-overs phase. Kanish scored a fine knock of 53 runs off 67 balls that included 7 fours while Jai racked up 32 runs off 46 balls.

The Madan Lal Cricket Academy’s bowlers Akhil Chaudhary and Mohd. Umar bowled amazingly well to rattle the Chetan Chauhan Academy for a total of 168 runs in 29.2 overs. Akhil picked up a total of four wickets while Umar took three scalps.
