In the fourth match of the Cricplex Kalinga Cup held at the Cricplex Cricket Academy, the City Hawks Sports registered a stupendous 6-wicket victory over the Sunshine Cricket Academy. Tarun Upadhyay grabbed four wickets as Sunshine Cricket Academy were bowled out for just 59 runs.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Sunshine Cricket Academy got off to a horrible start as they lost their top-order very much early. The City Hawks Sports’ bowlers Hitesh Kumar and Tarun Upadhyay bowled sensational spells at the top to rattle the opposition batsmen. After the remarkable top-order collapse, the Sunshine Cricket Academy’s innings never recovered as they continued to lose wickets on regular basis.
Only three batters, Sukrit Bhatia, Vansh Sethi and Anshul managed to reach the double digit mark as the Sunshine Cricket Academy bundled out for a paltry total of 59 runs in 16.5 overs. For the City Hawks Sports, Tarun was the pick of the bowlers as he finished with four crucial wickets while Prince Kumar and Hitesh took three and two scalps respectively.
While chasing an easy target of 60 runs, the City Hawks Sports also did not get off to the best of starts losing early wickets at the top. Sunshine Cricket Academy’s bowler Suryansh Singh bowled an excellent spell in which he picked up four vital wickets but unfortunately, he didn’t have enough runs in the bank. Eventually, the City Hawks Sports chased down the target in just 7.4 overs. Maaz Ali scored an unbeaten 14 runs off 15 balls while Prince Kumar was 6 not out.
