In the eighth match of the ongoing Cricplex Kalinga Cup, the T.N. M Cricket Academy recorded an 18-run victory over the Cricket Foundation Hyderabad at the ABESIT Campus Ground. For the T.N. M Cricket Academy, Nikhil Rao played a fine innings of 62 runs off 64 balls while Aaditya and Anchit Yadav took two wickets each with the ball.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the T.N. M Cricket Academy got off to a fine start as both their openers, Karunish and Rajdeep Yadav came out with a positive mindset. The two openers provided their team with a solid opening foundation as Karunish scored 32 runs off 36 balls and Rajdeep scored 36 runs off 30 balls. The pair of Nikhil Rao and Anchit Yadav then joined hands to steady the T.N. M Cricket Academy’s innings.

Nikhil played an excellent innings of 62 runs off 64 balls that included 5 sixes and 4 fours. In the middle-order, Yadav and Ameya provided some decent contributions as they scored 24 and 29 runs respectively. However, after the dismissal of Nikhil, the T.N. M Cricket Academy’s innings suffered a crushing batting collapse as they got bowled out for 225 runs in 39.4 overs. For the Cricket Foundation Hyderabad, Abhished bowled very well picking four crucial wickets while Mahboob took two wickets.

In the second innings, the Cricket Foundation Hyderabad’s openers, Ashrith and Shubham failed to contribute much with the bat as they got out pretty early. After the fall of three early wickets, the pair of Prajwal and Shahnawaz then got together to resurrect the innings and take their team forward in this run-chase. Prajwal scored 42 runs off 61 balls that included 3 fours and 2 sixes before getting dismissed in the form of a run-out.

On the other hand, Shahzad was playing really well during his brilliant innings of 67 runs off 49 balls that consisted of 6 fours and 3 sixes before his stumps were crashed by Vivek Singh.  Towards the end, the T.N. M Cricket Academy’s bowlers displayed an amazing collective performance to bowl out the Cricket Foundation Hyderabad team for a total of 207 runs in 38.4 overs and pick up a an emphatic win for their side. For the T.N. M Cricket Academy, Aaditya and Anchit picked two wickets each while Anant, Vivek and Suryansh took a wicket apiece.
