In the exciting Cricplex Kalinga Cup, the T.N. M Cricket Academy handed a convincing 71-run defeat to the Pragati Sporting Orissa. Anchit Yadav displayed excellent all-round efforts as he scored 41 runs off 54 balls with the bat and then also took two crucial wickets. This is the second loss in a row for the Pragati Sporting Orissa.

Pragati Sporting Orissa won the toss and elected to bowl first. The T.N. M Cricket Academy got off to a great start as both their openers, Karunish and Rajdeep Yadav batted very nicely at the top. The two openers showed great amount of patience to provide their team with a solid opening foundation. Karunish scored 37 runs off 47 balls that included 6 fours and 1 six while Rajdeep smashed 46 runs off 69 balls.

The duo of Nikhil Rao and Siddharth failed to contribute much with the bat much like majority of the middle-order batsmen. However, Anchit Yadav did manage to play a valuable innings of 41 runs off 54 balls but the rest of the batting line-up collapsed very quickly as the T.N. M Cricket Academy posted 186 for 9 in 45 overs. For the Pragati Sporting Orissa, Santhak Saurav picked three vital wickets and Trupti Ranjan and Yashan Quaneshi scalped two wickets each.

While chasing a tricky total of 190 runs in the second innings, the Pragati Sporting Orissa lost key wickets at the top in the form of Ankit Arnav, Amit Kumar Guin, Rajesh Patra and Yashan Quaneshi. However, Biswa played nicely during his fine innings of 45 runs off 68 balls that included four boundaries. But after his dismissal, the Pragati Sporting Orissa team started to lose wickets at regular intervals.

In the middle-order, Trupti Ranjan scored 24 runs off 34 balls while majority of the other players failed to even to reach the double-digit mark. The Pragati Sporting Orissa bundled out for a total of 115 runs in 39.3 overs. For the T.N. M Cricket Academy, Aaditya and Harsh Mittal took three wickets apiece while Anchit Yadav and Tusya picked two wickets each.
