On the back of a clinical and all-round performance, the DM Cricket Academy registered a massive 199-run victory over the BM Cricket Academy. Bhaskar Bhardwaj played an excellent unbeaten innings of 88 runs off only 53 balls that helped DS Cricket Academy post 274/5 in 40 overs. In the second innings, BM Cricket Academy team got bowled out for only 71 runs.

The DS Cricket Academy team won the toss and opted to bat first in the ongoing Cricplex Kalinga Cup in Noida. The two DS Cricket Academy’s openers, Om Saini and Shubhankar Sharma got their team off to a great start providing a strong foundation at the top. Saini played an excellent knock of 62 runs off 70 balls that included 8 fours and stitched an important opening partnership along with Shubhankar who contributed a fine 53 off 54 balls.

After the dismissal of both the openers, Bhaskar Bhardwaj dominated the rest of the innings with Shubham Chaudhary and Awtans Kaushik batting patiently at the other end. Shubham scored 20 runs off 35 balls while Kaushik racked up a cameo of 35 runs off 23 balls. However, it was the standout innings played by Bhaskar Bhardwaj compiling an amazing 88 runs off just 53 balls that powered the DS Cricket Academy to a daunting total of 274 for 5 in 40 overs. For the BM Cricket Academy, Aditya picked two wickets while Mandeep and Karthik took a wicket each.

While chasing a monumental total of 275 runs in 40 overs, the BM Cricket Academy got off to a horrendous start losing key wickets at the top. Their innings never really picked momentum as they continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. None of their batters never really took responsibility to bat through the run-chase.

Only two players managed to get into double digits as the BM Cricket Academy got bundled out for a paltry total of 71 runs in 24.4 overs. For the DS Cricket Academy, Rupesh Rawat bowled very well and picked up four wickets. Shashank Singh also bowled nicely finishing with three wickets.
