In the ongoing Cricplex Kalinga Cup, the Chetan Chauhan Cricket Academy registered an amazing 117-run victory over the Sunshine Cricket Academy at the Cricplex Academy Ground in Noida. Kartikeya played an excellent innings of 85 runs off only 69 balls.

Sunshine Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to field at the Cricplex Academy Ground in Noida. The Chetan Chauhan Cricket Academy got off to a horrific start losing key wickets at the top. The top-order batters failed to contribute much with the bat. The duo comprising of Karthikeya and Aadi Vaid then got together to steady the Chetan Chauhan Academy’s innings.

Kartikeya was playing a fabulous knock of 85 runs off just 69 balls that included 13 fours and 3 sixes before unfortunately getting run-out. Aadi Vaid played a patient innings of 49 runs off 81 balls. Nanak played a valuable knock of 54 runs off 47 balls that pushed Chetan Chauhan Academy’s score to a massive 302 in 50 overs. For the Sunshine Cricket Academy, Anugrah Latwal took four wickets. 

In the second innings, Sunshine Cricket Academy started off decently with their two opening batsmen, Parth and Abhinav adding crucial runs at the top. Abhinav scored 26 runs off 23 balls before getting dismissed by Gaurav Singh Tomar. In the middle-order, the Sunshine Cricket Academy suffered a huge batting collapse as they lost four wickets in quick time.

Kush Chaturvedi then batted amazingly well to settle down the innings in the run-chase. He played a vital innings of 61 runs off 89 balls that included 7 fours and 2 sixes. However, after his wicket, the run-chase became quite difficult for the rest of the lower-order batters and the Sunshine Cricket Academy got bowled out for 185 runs in 40.3 overs. For the Chetan Chauhan Academy side, Lakshay Agarwal picked three wickets and Ragvan Kumar and Sarthak finished with two wickets each.

Kartikey was named the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock of 85 runs. Anugrah Latwal was adjudged as the Fighter of the Match for his four wickets.
