The T.N. M Cricket Academy registered a massive 143-run victory over the Delhi Cricket Club to book a place in the quarter-finals of the Cricplex Kalinga Cup. Karunish and Anchit Yadav composed excellent fifties each that helped T.N. M Cricket Academy post 282/8 in 50 overs. In the second innings, Delhi Cricket Club folded for 139 runs in 39.2 overs.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the T.N. M Cricket Academy got off to a fantastic start as both their openers, Karunish and Vivek Singh came out with a clear and positive mindset. The two openers stitched an excellent partnership to provide their team with a solid foundation at the top. Karunish played really well for his 61-run innings that included 6 fours and 1 six and Vivek scored 30 runs off 54 balls.

After their dismissals, Anchit Yadav played a superb hand to move the T.N. M Cricket Academy’s innings forward. The likes of Ameya, Ashish, Vishal Thakur and Siddharth failed to contribute much with the bat. Anchit Yadav composed a brilliant knock of 62 runs off 56 balls. Towards the end, Nikhil Rao smashed an amazing cameo of 40 runs off only 19 balls to guide T.N. M Cricket Academy to a pretty challenging total of 282 for 8 in 50 overs. For the Delhi Cricket Club, Navneet picked up three wickets and Naman Pare took two wickets.

While chasing a big target of 283 runs in 50 overs, the Delhi Cricket Club’s innings never really picked momentum as they continued to lose wickets in clusters from the very beginning. Opening batsman Sanju scored 24 runs off 42 balls before getting dismissed by Tanay. In the middle-order, none of the players batted with responsibility to bat throughout the difficult run-chase.

Sandip was the top-scorer with 32 runs off 75 balls as the Delhi Cricket Club got bowled out for just 139 runs in 39.2 overs. For the T.N. M Cricket Academy, Tanay bowled amazingly well registering a brilliant five-wicket haul and Aaditya finished with two scalps.
