In the ongoing Cricplex Kalinga Cup, the Telefunken Cricket Club registered a dominating 6-wicket victory against Dharamveer 11. After restricting the opposition at 145 runs, Telefunken Cricket Club chased down the total in just 11.5 overs courtesy Yash’s 74 runs off 37 balls.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Dharamveer 11 got off to a poor start as they lost key wickets at the top. The top-order batters failed to contribute much with the bat and got out quite early in the game. Wickets continued to tumble at one end while Yash Joon played really well on the other side. Yash and Mayank added a crucial stand lower down the order.
Jayant bowled a brilliant spell to rattle the opposition batsmen. Yash Goon scored 58 runs off 71 balls that included 8 fours and 2 sixes before getting dismissed by Vedant. Eventually, Dharamveer 11 got bowled out for 145 runs in 35.2 overs. For the Telefunken Cricket Club, Jayant took four vital wickets. Dhruv and Vedant also finished with two wickets each.
In the second innings, Telefunken Cricket Club lost the duo of Saksham and Deepanshu very early with just 23 runs on the board. The pair of Yash and Gaurav then bailed their tem out of trouble with a pretty aggressive partnership for the third wicket. The duo added 83 runs in that crucial stand before Gaurav got out for a 20-ball 37.
However, it was the standout innings of 74 runs off just 37 balls that consisted of 11 fours and 4 sixes from Yash that propelled his team almost over the finishing line. Arvind remained 11 not out as Telefunken Cricket Club won the match in only 11.5 overs.
