In the first quarter-final of the exciting Cricplex Kalinga Cup, the TNM Cricket Academy registered a massive 9-wicket victory over the DS Cricket Academy to enter the semi-finals. While batting first, the DS Cricket Academy was bowled out for just 71 runs. The TNM Cricket Academy comfortably chased the target in just 12 overs.

After losing the toss and being put in to bat first, the DS Cricket Academy got off to a poor start losing key wickets at the top. Neither the top-order nor the middle-order batters played responsibly in the DS Cricket Academy’s innings and tried to settle down at the crease. After the top-order batting collapse, they never really recovered as they continued to lose wickets in quick succession.

Yugdeep Saini was the top-scorer with 16 runs off 48 balls and only three players managed to get into double digits. The DS Cricket Academy got bowled out for a dismal total of 71 runs in 29.2 overs. For the TNM Cricket Academy, Anant Sharma took three vital wickets and the trio of Anchit Yadav, Aaradhya Yadav and Harsh Mittal picked two wickets each.

In the second innings, it always had to be a cakewalk for the TNM Cricket Academy and their openers, Nikhil Rao and Anchit Yadav ensured the same. Nikhil Rao played a fine innings of 34 runs off 33 balls that included six boundaries. Anchit Yadav was 29 not out as the TNM Cricket Academy won the match in just 12 overs.
